Kema McCoy is the compassionate founder of Stability First Housing Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating affordable housing opportunities and helping families achieve lasting stability. Guided by empathy, perseverance, and a deep commitment to community, Kema established the organization with a simple but powerful vision: to ensure that every family has a safe, stable, and supportive place to call home.
Her journey began with a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by low-income and workforce households struggling to maintain secure housing. After witnessing families forced to choose between rent and basic necessities, and children growing up without a sense of stability, Kema recognized the urgent need for an organization that could bridge the gap by offering both immediate assistance and long-term empowerment.
Through Stability First Housing Initiative, Kema leads programs that provide rental support, affordable housing access, and essential resources for families working to rebuild their lives. Her leadership reflects her unwavering belief that stability is the foundation for opportunity, and that with the right support, every family can rise above hardship and thrive.
